Our Team
Doreen McGunagle
Founder & Executive Director
Doreen McGunagle, Ph.D., is an award-winning fine art nature photographer, sustainability researcher, and business strategist with a strong nonprofit leadership and environmental advocacy background. Her work bridges art, science, and education, using visual storytelling to illuminate the urgent need for global conservation. As the founder of Global Voices for Nature, Doreen leads with a vision grounded in systems thinking and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Her academic research explores the intersection of sustainability, leadership, and environmental policy, particularly how organizations can drive measurable impact through ethical stewardship and strategic communication. Through fine art photography and scholarship, she advocates for a deeper connection between people and the planet, empowering audiences to take action through education, empathy, and community engagement.
Fun Fact: One of Doreen's favorite moments was photographing wild elephants during golden hour in Botswana.
Dixie Button
Director
Dixie Button, D.B.A. integrates decades of industry experience with a passion for education that inspires socially responsible leadership. Her marketing research explores corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and consumer behavior—areas directly supporting Global Voices for Nature’s mission to amplify environmental awareness and conservation through collaborative, cross-sector efforts. With a professional background spanning public administration, finance, entrepreneurship, and communications, Dr. Button brings a systems-level perspective to global challenges. A licensed pilot and advocate for gender diversity in aviation, she actively serves on aerospace advisory committees and champions inclusive, sustainability-focused education that empowers future leaders to positively impact business and the natural world.
Fun Fact: Dr. Dixie Button is an accomplished competitive ballroom dancer and has competed regularly throughout the country.
Malcolm Mackintosh
Director
Malcolm Mackintosh brings a strong background in sales, marketing, and customer engagement to his role with Global Voices for Nature, where he actively supports the organization’s mission to promote conservation through fine art photography and education. With years of professional experience in brand development, client relations, and outreach strategy, Malcolm plays a vital role in connecting audiences with the transformative power of visual storytelling. His expertise in market communication and relationship-building enhances the organization’s ability to reach broader communities and cultivate meaningful partnerships. Whether assisting on location at nature photography workshops or behind the scenes with strategic initiatives, Malcolm’s hands-on approach, deep appreciation for the natural world, and commitment to sustainability help amplify the impact of Global Voices for Nature.

Director
Patti Clark, Ph.D. is a passionate advocate for sustainability, education, and systems thinking with over two decades of experience in research, teaching, and strategic leadership. She focuses on integrating environmental responsibility into complex industries and promoting measurable solutions supporting conservation and community resilience. Patti has served on national panels advancing sustainability metrics and continues contributing thought leadership through education and cross-sector collaboration. She brings this systems-based approach to her role at Global Voices for Nature, helping to bridge science, policy, and storytelling to inspire global environmental action.
Fun Fact: Dr. Patti Clark’s visits to witness the restoration of the rare XP-82 Twin Mustang airplane reflect her deep respect for aviation history and the preservation of those pieces of the past that continue to guide our current aircraft designs. This passion for honoring the past mirrors her commitment to shaping a more sustainable future for aviation—one that learns from its roots while innovating for the planet.
